In the pictures above, I was planning, and deciding, what to draw for my final piece. At this stage, I wasn't yet sure what I wanted to draw.I had attempted to draw several things, such as Police box and sword and a computer. I was full of ambition and unable to realize what I could do with in the limits of my artistic ability. In the end, I decided to use the simple box shape as I knew that it was in the realm of my artistic ability.
At this point, I had decided what to draw, and got feedback from my peers on which view point was the best. A straight view point( see middle) looked awkward, and would be difficult to add anything to. A birds eye view would be difficult to replicate and add to. So I decided to utilize a middle ground.
I needed to practice drawing it before I copied the design to the final sheet. This helped me plan for the final designs color scheme. The glass triangular shape was added to give the design some more detail. It enhances the image by giving the building a architectural point of reference.
At this point I had decided on a contrasting color scheme. This enables the viewer to see the precise details from building to building. Not only that, But shadows and a sky were added.
And here is where the windows had been added. I decided not to add a surface to the drawing to add to the surrealism and illusion that the buildings are there, but at the same time, they aren't. Like the buildings them selves are a glimpse in to another dimension. Looking back on the final result, I think that I could have made several adjustments before considering it finalized. Most important is Coloration. More specifically, the buildings could have had more value than they currently have and the shadows of the buildings could have been done better.
